What's this then? Hurst Edition?

Postby Twin Turbo » Fri Jul 01, 2016 3:07 pm

Given the colour scheme, my guess is a Hurst Edition :)

This is just too cool for school. Member Larry Weiner is the Project Manager on a car that just got finished today. He worked with some of the best names and legends in the automotive business to design and build this 750 horsepower creation. The car was originally scheduled to be unveiled at SEMA, but we are thrilled that Larry and his team got it done in time to be unveiled at our TMPCC Show at CBS Studio Center on Monday July 4th.

This first teaser picture should immediately give you a clue as to what the car is, but all the badges, emblems and other clues that would be a dead giveaway to the cars pedigree will not be shown in the teaser images we will post here each day before the unveiling at our show on Monday. If you want to see the entire car, come to the show or look for pictures after the event here on Facebook.

For those that may be new to the scene, Hurst was famous in the 60's for their aftermarket shift kits. Oldsmobile even had Hurst Edition models, usually in a white and gold colour scheme.

They even launched Mustang, Camaro and Challenger editions a few years ago. These were also available in Black and Gold colour schemes :)

Beautiful illustrations.

But makes me wonder, if this is the 2016 Hurst 'Stang, who are they going to get to be the 2016 Linda Vaughn? :D

Nice photo's! Not sure on the gold (Like at all) but that's Hurst's colours I guess. Liking the exterior mods from what I can see (Splitter/Side winglets, hood and spoiler)!

I know there's some history with that wheel design,

http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/0806phr-hurst-wheel/

but this update on it doesn't do much for me. And I'm not 100% convinced on the winglets or hood. Or wing... A lot of different visual references fighting with each other here. But I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crisps.
