Hi Gaz911,

Two weeks after your update, does everything seem to be working okay (voice, nav, audio etc.) ?

Cheers
Jim

Upgrade done, just as described in the instructions.

I had to use a vfat file system, as the car did not recognise Exfat.

I use Linux, not Windows, on my PC. So I created the file system like this:

# mkfs.vfat /dev/sdb1

Hi, All

With this upgrade, does anyone know that; when you plug your phone in and CarPlay is active, does the SatNav allow you to use the cars SatNav now or does it force you to use Apple Maps still?

That is one really irritating feature for me. I love listening to my music but if I need to go somewhere where I need SatNav, I have to unplug my phone to use the cars SatNav. Apple Maps is absolutely awful to navigate from.

We have a new Kia Sportage now and you can have your phone plugged with Car Play active AND use the cars SatNav. I just wish mine worked liked that.

Ant
