I do regret my tyre choice though. I went 30 profile on the rear cos there were no 40 x 295s at Camskill. They look a bit weedy and there's hideous wheel gap even though the springs are shorter.

I'm also pissed off with the CDC chin spoiler, which I was hoping to not have to paint. But it looks ball sack with all kinds of discolouring. Almost like someone has sanded it:

I quickly tried some bumper/trim stuff on it, but what I've got isn't good enough. I think I'll complain and see where that gets me, but in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas apart from Back to Black or boot polish before i get the Plasti Dip out. I want to keep it semi-gloss black rather than Windy blue or gloss.

gloss black will work well with the lighter blue. and matches the wheels should suit the car well.

The splitter does need painting looks a bit mangled. Mind you cdc and cervini in the 550 world and renowned for their "quality"

Plasti-dipped the spoiler and badges this weekend. The thing I learnt here was this stuff likes to be warm. I was spraying in cati's barn. It was colder than a well-digger's arse in there so we put the blower on to warm up the spoiler a bit. I put the Plasti-dip cans in a bucket of hot water to bring their temperature up too. Warming the Plasti-dip makes it spray finer and smoother. Applying it to the 'warm' spoiler worked much better than to the cold fender badges that were out of the range of the heater.

Anyway, I used it on the spoiler, fender badges and behind the Grillcraft top grill so you don't notice the Windveil Blue right behind the 14 gauge mesh. I'm gonna tidy up a whole bunch of shit with this stuff!

To the Grills. I love these. The bottom one was a bit of a fiddle to fit as the bumper cover aperture it is designed to fit snugly in is full of CDC spoiler now. But cati bodged some brackets and the top one whacked straight in no probs. There's some room for adjustment forward or back to go deep-set or flush with the front. I went for a bit of an inset which looks pretty cool to me...

Such words of wisdom from one so young!

You're right of course.

I could roller it in plasti-dip? Or maybe leave it Windy blue.... :|
