Deranged Mustang

Postby badhand » Sat Jul 01, 2017 9:26 am

I was at the Goodwood Moving Motor show on Thursday and spotted this on the Deranged stand. I spoke to Jason, the owner of the company and he seems like a guy who really cares about his product. Apparently the flares shown on this GT took a lot of work to make fit properly - weeks in fact - but he now has the molds for pre '18 facelift S550 virtually ready to replicate in carbon fibre.

They seem a bit Marmite however, having polled opinions from my 'Stang buds on the day with opinions quite divided.

Personally, I really like them. What do you guys think?

that looks gopping ugly... just not in proportion to the car.. the original RTR s550 looked much better and more in proportion

the wheels could be good without the bolts around the edges... three piece? no need looks too busy

Woh. This gets much more love on Facebook.

I still think they're cool.

Bolts on wheels are apparently a necessity cati. I spoke with Jason who said it was down to the offset on those particular wheels. The bolts are normally on the other side and hidden but for some reason the width (13" on the back), meant them needing to be located on the outer face.

Have to agree.
The vastness of the arches makes the wheels look too small.
Bolt on arches are very 'ricer'. Look tacky.
