I have tried emailing them a few times and not a single response :(

My car was given a VIN it seems but the number is wrong... too short!

CF4H5300312

Perhaps its a preliminary number or something?

anyone got any ideas?

Says ETA to Dealer W/E: 06-MAY-2017 :D

Spoke to a Ford representative at Waterloo station the other day (they had a black GT there to advertise the stang) he said that the wait list is now much shorter! Surpriingly just after a new model is announced they seem to be able to speed up!!! :x

Is it a coupe?EB?V8?Manual etc? There's an imagine in the OP of a VIN decoder which you can use to add on the relevant numbers that makes it a full 17 dig vin.

I was contacted a few weeks ago by my dealer to say that my GT was in the process of being built (ordered mid September) to which I requested my VIN with no reply. After chasing them up, on Tuesday I got another email to say that I had an April build slot as there had been unspecified delays which was incredibly frustrating to the point where I was ready to cancel and start looking for a second hand GT. A quick email to mustang.com and within hours I had my VIN and was informed that not only had my car already been built but it has arrived at Baltimore docks awaiting a ship.

Fingers crossed my car will be with me by mid May!

Looks like yours is on the same ship as mine. Docks in Zeebruger 2nd april.

If I have a build date 12/04/19 when can I roughly expect it to be on a boat?

Mine was a Build date of 3/3/2017 and hasn't got on a boat yet  Well when i try and track on the shipping site it says no record found.

My dealer has also sent me an update that says expected ETA to dealer of week ending 27th May.

So if that comes true I guess you could calculate yours similarly. Roughly looks like early July???

I managed to get my full Vin via the calculations and that works on the 2 Ford sites!

If yours is/was onboard the Tijuca it should have arrived already in Zeebruge. It appears my car was taken of the ship 25/03/17.

Sooooo

I just noticed that the price has gone up for Mustangs in the UK.

2 Things:

1. As i have already ordered and payed a deposit i am assuming that i will pay the prices i ordered it at? please tell me this is true?

2. As the list price is now over £40k will this now mean that I will have to pay the higher Car Tax rate or is it list price at time of order?

If i am paying the ordered price this price increase will be very good news as it will be worth more than i am going to pay for it...

Fingers crossed!

1. Yes your price is locked to the price you paid, and the dealer has to honour this, however, if the VED rose, you need to pay the difference which is £880 for the GT.

2. "now over"? No, you're stuck with the price you paid, if that's below 40k, you're fine, otherwise, yes.

In short - If your invoice price was say £39,999.99 and you ordered before the VED changes, you owe the £880 extra when you pay, but you will continue to get the discounted yearly tax etc. Your car could take a year to come and you'd still be locked in at that price.

Dealers have rose the price to offset the increase in VED.

It's list price less the VED to work out if it's over £40k as list price is 'on the road' and therefore includes VED.

Thanks for responses.

Have had this confirmed by the dealer now so all good :D

Hopefully this will also be good for residuals too..... Price for my model (Race Red GT with all extras and Auto) has gone up by £1500!

Now all I need is for it to get on that darn boat !!

Cheers

Morning all. Does anyone know how far along a mustang is when the WWL track & trace says "discharged", and the likely time frame to Southampton?

Read OP ;)! Usually says discharged a few days before it drops in Zeebrugge. Then will say Departed from a few days before it land sin so'ton

For further information on recent time scales:

21/03/17 Paid Deposit

19/07/17 Car Built and awaiting shipping - two weeks on and its still awaiting shipping but I still check at least ten times a day :-)

On the Ford site it says 5 days to delivery at the dealer - well that clearly isn't going to happen.

I'm hoping it will be here in 6 weeks but I guess 2months is more realistic at present.
