2015 Mustang Car Cover

Postby dervcruiser » Tue Mar 01, 2016 8:44 pm

Hi again

I need a good cover as my car will be outside at various points during the year. Can anyone recommend a decent cover for the 2015?

Thanks

Ignoring Cati's sarcasm, i've picked up a cheap car cover (as i'll only put it on during holidays/weekends not driving etc), it fits on my neighbours M4, so should fit my mustang (It's within width).

Maypole breathable car cover:

Seems to do the trick, i'm going to get a fabric spray :

And some stencils (To spell Mustang, and one of the mustang logo - got a friend who can make me them).

And just stencil the mustang logo on with 'Mustang' or my Reg over it, idk which yet. Totally bootleg jobbing it as it'll be used not a lot :)

A garage would be great but it would probably need to be a double!

It will be under a carport most of the time but when I am using it for work it will need to be at the front of the drive, rather than having to move 4 cars.

Thanks for the link I'll have a look

No worries, assuming you don't want to fork £200+ on a specific mustang one, and just want a bog standard cover, to be fair, cheaper the cover, less likely anyones gonna know it's a Mustang if you're not on a private estate like me would be better to be inconspiicious than let everyone know it's a mustang under the covers!

Ford do a weathershield cover with logo's a Pony on front with Mustang on the rear for ......£385
the indoor cover cost around £263 , was thinking about getting one but not sure that I wanted to advertise what was under the cover .
P.S .good news my Mustang has arrived in Southampton tonight ! :rock

Funnily enough I was just browsing through the accessory catalogue and saw it. It does look the part. I think I'll see if my mate can get a cheeky bit of discount at work.

Southampton means you should have it soon!! :rock

Isn't the transporter cover like 6 parts of tacky white plastic stuff? Or am i mistaking it for something?

I got a very good outdoor one from Classic Additions, who were also recommended by the guy who did my detailing as being good quality / very reasonably priced.

I paid less than £200 for their semi-fitted version when I got it at FOS, but I don't think their regular price is any different. They personalised it for me for free, but I think that was a show special offer. I saw them last week at the Classic Car Show, so they're still in business.

My cover shows zero signs of wear after 3 months constant use (I park on our driveway), & I'd highly recommend it.
