Well thanks to Ron at STS Imports and ebay and my mate Michael and his van and delays by Hurricane Barry (or whatever it was called), we finally have our new back end!

Or key bits of it anyway. Hoorah!

No pics cos no progress. Our priority is getting the chassis sorted, and we've only just starting to get the key components together.

I was looking for some inspiration on the design for Hellraiser (I'm still not 100% happy) so I approached a respected professional Automobile & Product designer to see if he could help with some of the refinements. He said he was "not sure why I needed a car designer, it looks bloody great"

:D

I feel very proud, But I'm still working on it...

When this thing is finally done you're going to have to tell us when its going to make a public appearance somewhere. Think it'll be worth the trip to come take a look!

It's a way off, but I wouldn't mind a go at that. Do regs allow two drivers to compete in the same car?

Nick sorry I missed your question earlier.

Yes, you can have a max of two people driving a car at each event. Cant wait to see you out on track in that thing!

Also - i love your rear end! Is that from Duane Carling (http://www.mustangIRS.com) or an S550?

Cool. That could work.

And I love your rear end too sweety!

Seriously, it's an S550 take off. About a tenth of the price of Duane Carling! Less than a grand. But by the time we've figured out how to fit it, probably twice Duane's price tbh!

Parcels and packages are arriving fast from Ebay and other generous souls, and we're nearly at a point where we can get Hellraiser trailered round to a handy top secret spot where we can set her up comfortably for the first stage chassis build.

We have now amassed a bunch of OE S550 parts to mock up the suspension front and back and start taking proper measurements to have Spanner Monkey work his magic and fabricate the neccessary parts to get her rolling.

Parts hidden from Mrs. Badhand so far:

2015 Rear IRS assembly (nightmare!)
2015 19" multispokes and tyres (these will be replaced with wider eventually but will give us the key dimensions)
2015 Front Struts (these will be replaced with adjustable upgrades)
2015 Steering Knuckles/spindles (these we will keep)
2015 Electric Steering rack and tie rod ends (this we will keep)

And the lovely Mike Allan from American Muscle Cars has donated some rear rotors. Thanks Mike!!! Our first Sponsor! :rock

Cati is borrowing the fronts from some nice chap called Gibbo... :rock
