I'd have fixed it by gaffa taping over the pair of 'em!

Having sold my other car, the Mustang has been pressed in to service as a day to day vehicle :o
500 miles round trip to Manchester and back and then a 300 mile round trip to Gatwick and back. All in 0-2c temps and I'm happy to report zero moments of slippy tyre action thanks to running in wet/ice mode.

Car swallowed 3 cases for the trip to the airport, navigation dealt with a number of appalling motorway restrictions including the closure of the entire M4

Only thing to happen is the oil service light came on. Car has done less than 4k and I checked the oil level which is fine.

I realise most of you will know all the above and may not be surprised, however I was impressed so I thought I'd write about it in case future owners are researching and read this.

Finally got the Pony Grille installed almost a month since it arrived on these fair shores.

Sadly the fog light wiring still leads to a rocker switch, rather than the OEM headlight/fog switch, but I hope to get the right parts when I head over to America in April.

Here's a pic of the final result. Also decided to treat her to a nice valet after a month on the drive. :D

Next up is repainting a few chips, a more powerful cold air intake and possibly a new exhaust!

Well today my indicator stopped working, could tell by the rapid blinking noise when signalling left. Turns out that bloody switchback bulb up front left wasn't working. Got in the wheel well to inspect and found that the connection had corroded over, cleaned it up, sprayed it with ACF-50 and was working again. Ill have to keep my eye out for this one, seems the plug for the front indicator is attracting moisture since being relocated by a few inches.

Looked at it in my garage.

Admired its curves from behind and stroked its hind quarters.

Told it I love it.

Promised it I'd start building it soon.

Took delivery of some massive aerodynamic upgrades that will reduce NVH, increase handling, tighten up the suspension due to better wind funneling around the car, providing for faster acceleration due to better slipstreaming due to a more aerodynamic finish on these parts

Okay, in all seriousness, I got Snorty 's take off plastics sprayed gloss black by a friend who works in an Auto shop, and they look spectacular, i'm already itching to get them on the car (He's advised me to wait 2 days before putting them on for the paint to properly harden :( ).

I'll post photo's when they're on the car, but for now, they look sexy as feck, I'm proper impressed with the service I got (dropped parts off Saturday 5pm at friends house, he took them to his work, and returned them to me at about 5:10 today.... And it only cost £175!!)

Haven't actually done anything with my Mustang today, but because I haven't, I thought I ought to buy it something shiny. This Motamec 17" wide angle rearview mirror is pretty shiny and will come in handy one day...

Took delivery of my 25mm wheel spacers and fitted them this afternoon. Given a second chance I would have said 20mm spacers were better for a flush looking fit, the wheels protrude ever so slightly with 25mm. However I am really happy with, looks great, and I'm suffering from a placebo effect where I just feel like the car is more planted when I swing it around those bends.

Only a minor modification for now (the number plate). Originally bought MY09 PNY - forgetting that just because it was built in 2009, the plate needs to be late 2008... Didn't like the ring of MY58 PNY originally, but after exhausting all other options, I couldn't resist.

Off to the US in April with an extra suitcase for lots of parts, so expect mods a plenty! :rock

Took the day off yesterday for a trip up to Modurstang for a spot of tinkering and and a couple of upgrades.

It was time to go from the noisy old heavyweight driveshaft -

To this lightweight one piece aluminium version (noise and vibration now gone with a sharper feel to performance) -

Another excellent service from Mike and the guys! :D
