New areival

Postby himleiwolf » Wed Jul 11, 2018 3:11 pm

Hi all, the replacement for for ‘17 Mustang GT is about to leave the states and so in a little over a month I’ll be getting my hands on a ‘18 kona blue GT with custom pack, large spoiler and magma ride so thoroughly looking forward to that but one quick question...the vessel it’s booked on doesn’t go to Zeebrugge as before but stops in Liverpool, Antwerp then Hamburg.

Anybody out there know if Ford have changed their delivery route?

I’ve no idea and can’t help you and I’m sure someone will come along with the answer, but if it were me I’d forget about the journey and wait for the dealers phone call to tell you to come in and collect it.

I know what you mean, just like to know what’s going on so I can organise the little things (reg transfer, tracking system transfer, detailer etc) Not long to wait now though, will miss the 17 model as it’s the most fun u can have on 4 wheels but the 18 model looks superb

may be they are avoiding the under body spray place they where using and going somewhere decent. It is normally pretty quick once on the boat as they want your money

Yes ordering now should get you yours around the time you`ve estimated, Manders Mustang was spot-on with his excellent time-line post a while back, and I did refer to it a couple of times during my wait
There was a bit extra delay for mine because of a couple of factors - 1 was that it is a Convert, 2 was it was just on the change-over ( face-lift ) model, and 3 that I wanted Triple Yellow - they dropped the colour for the 18 model but my dealer managed to squeeze 1 in for me in the TP - don`t get me wrong the Orange fury is really nice but I had my heart set on a TP for a good while with the Black rag top ect to break it up, I have also gone for the Magnaride and Auto box, I managed to keep it down to just under £50 - but then the first years road tax pushed it over - £2060 for the 12 mths tax, but the salesman assures me that the sound of the V8 will soften the blow somewhat - not long now, soon be w/end

I'm slightly confused, Lt Bullitt.......are you getting a facelift '18MY? I assume you are, as you're getting MagneRide (not available on the '17). Triple Yellow was dropped for the '19MY, but was (obviously) available on the '18 and '15-'17 :)

Either way, looking forward to seeing it!

Hi Twin Turbo
From your post it would appear that I misunderstood the dealer, I was under the impression that TY was dropped early in 18 and apparently my car was built in June as ordered in TY, the dealer told me that the car was probably going to be one of a few in the 18 in the colour - but from what you are telling me this maybe not the case

I remember having the choice of the Orange and I just presumed that OF had replaced TY, but again I`m not sure but thanks to this forum I`m learning all the time, but sounds like I`m a little mixed up between the 18 and 19 MY - or maybe my dealer is
Cheers
