To paint or not to paint?

Postby badhand » Wed Oct 11, 2017 10:40 am

That is the question.

I've ordered a CDC Aggressive chin spoiler for the daily S197. My dilemma now, is whether to paint Widveil Blue to match the car or leave it black plastic. Examples below, opinions welcomed...

Are the side skirts black or blue? is anything on the rear at that point black or blue? what other features of the car are black (You may have to post pictures to remind me lol).

If black, blend it with the black on the chin spoiler.... If they're blue, go blue.

Also if you go black, a black roof and/or wing mirrors might not go amis in tying things in and breaking the blue up :rock

Blimey! Where've you been Mandy?

To answer your questions:

Rockers blue.

Wheels will be black.

Decklid panel is xxxx honeycomb plastic thing but will be flat black vinyl panel.

Front half of car will remain Windy blue, back will be Matt Metallic grey, middle will be white. Maybe.

Mirror caps white.

Stickers everywhere.

Big fat carbon fibre wing maybe?

Oh and carbon fibre splitter under the CDC spoiler too if it's not too low when I drop it...

I'm feeling BLACK... :)

I don't even know.. I've been reading topics, but been busy working on my car, lots of stuff been done to it recently. Lots of other peoples cars worked on, painting shiz etc... But also, left a few FB groups so you won't have seen me their either

Based on the above, I'm saying black too... especially if wheels are black, the mix up of colours will suit black better to break it up than WB. :rock
