How do the yanks test align/compare with Euro NCAP?

The Americans, when testing whatever, I've found to be anything, but consistant/ "reliable"!!!

They drive the car into an American and see which sustains most damage......... :)

Bugger - so not only am I a hairdresser, I am now a safe hairdresser!!!

WRT NCAP, the standard is in theory the same WW - so if you dig into this article it refers to the NHTSA doing an NCAP test - whereas in europe the FIA fund Euro NCAP to do the same spec tests.

I am sure, however that there are different parts of the tests for different markets, so the "same" test is actually different in practise - for example the US one looks at rollover protection, whereas in the UK we look at Child protection in our tests

I've still got a safe car, whatever :D
