SVA - Headlights

Postby nomis » Wed Oct 01, 2008 8:13 am

I notice many Mustangs have holes drilled in the headlights, small bulbs/LEDs installed so that the SVA requirement for white side lights is complied with.

Has anyone done a less intrusive (ie no drilling into the headlamps) route to pass this SVA requirement?

Not to my knowledge. Angel Eye is the other option.

Mine has a 5w bulb in the casing in front of the headlight, barely noticeable during the day unless you look for it but very effective at night ;)

I like the look of Angel Eyes but not available on a GT500 if that's what you're getting. :?

Are your lights xenon?

My sidelights are seperate to the headlights......they're down by the lower air intake, either side of the number plate. Oh and the right side one looks wonky in this picture! However, my SVA could have been done by Bodget and Scarper, for what's it worth :?

Ours are slightly different:

The bulb sits between the black trim and the headlight reflector. Looks a bit neater than a hole bored straight through the casing and trim, and can always be removed to get the lights back to standard.

Works with HID's as well (though not for SVA as has been discussed).
