Visited Trevor at Surrey Mustang today as he kindly took my car for it's MOT. Whilst they don't carry out the MOTs themselves, Trevor took it to his local place. As some of you know, I was concerned my small LED indicators attached to the back of the wing mirrors might not pass the MOT and Surrey Mustangs would have been able to fit and supply the more regular, wing mounted lights. Turns out I needn't have worried, as it passed OK. Well, the emissions test took a few attempts, but no car's perfect :?

Surrey Mustang's premises are located in a delightfully quiet location, not to far from Petersfield, about 15 mins off the A34. Their workshops are plenty big enough with a number of tasty toys tucked up, including Yo Sushi's '79 Pace Car, waiting to be worked on. If Trevor reads this and is happy for me to post, I did take a few piccies.

Whilst Trevor didn't really need to work on my car, I will be getting him to rectify my too-fast-for-my-liking indicators and some point in the future. Hopefully before they blow the SJB

Oh, and I got to have a spin in their red 'n white demo car. This was primarily to try out some new brake pads they've recently fitted, but it was great to try another S197. Gotta say, I was very impressed with the auto gearbox too!

So, all in, I was most impressed with my first visit and Trevor seems a stand-up guy, an enthusiast first and foremost. Makes a lovely cuppa coffee too. He'll certainly get my business in the future.

In fact, I was so impressed, I bought the T-Shirt

You 'erd :D

No really. For some reason, I was expecting it to be a lot more agricultural.....but it's really slick. Now, if they added paddles behind the steering wheel........

Yeah, and it's got a V8 that doesn't quite fit. Well, it will once Trevor's used his shoe-horn :D
