Plain Gloss Black Decklid Panels............

Postby JWR » Tue Nov 22, 2016 6:11 pm

Sadly Ford stopped production of the plain gloss black decklid panel for some bizarre reason

We liked it and decided to re-create the panel for other like minded owners

Some like the Pony on the back some like the GT emblem but some just like the plain look giving them a blank canvas to work with !

Working with our bodyshop we have now taken genuine Ford panels and converted them to plain gloss black , these are on exchange only and carry a surcharge (because a replacement panel form Ford is not cheap) if you want us to supply your new panel before you send your old one back

Alternatively we can offer an install service at our Dunstable site

Very nice.

I'm reliably informed that Ford stopped producing these as they received a lot of negative feedback. Despite being "badge-less", they still came with two tiny indentations where the original badge fixings would be screwed in......so if you wanted it left without a badge, you had to put up with what looked like two dents!

That is true it is really faint though you would have to be a real anal fecker for it to bother you , it was actually handy to locate badge because it is central.

thats interesting , i certainly hadnt noticed on the few we sold before production stopped

anyway , its not a problem on these ones as we solved that problem during the process , these are perfectly flat and look spot on
