OK, so after a bit of inspriation from Cati's S550 Wheels thread, I am lliterally about to pull the trigger on these.

Image

Also, did a little bit of painting one day over the break, nothing major but brought the Alternator and Supercharger OEM metal a fresh update. Ever since the M90 was fitted and the alternator brough to the surface, it's annoyed me. Not anymore :D

Also, it snowed in Bedford?

Thanks all.

Took me ages to decide on these Cati, then I had to pull out some stops to actually source a set. They are coming direct from Axe. I made friends on Facebook with a guy who has a direct line into Axe :D

Really pleased. They are on their way :D

They've arrived!

Weigh in at 13.8 kg (30.4 lbs) for the rears (not weighed fronts yet).

According to Amazon listings, the Torque thrust rears are 32.5 lbs, and the fronts 29.6 lbs.

So looks like they are a lighter wheel... maybe a kilo a corner. :D

Will weigh front in half hour when I try the brake template.

Template suggests they will fit over the Big brakes :D

Front wheel weighed in at 12.9kg (28.4 lb).

So roughly 6 and a half lb saving all round. Not bad. Better than heavier :D

Cheers. Hoping to get them fitted over weekend or Monday.

Just ordered some upgrade FOG light bulbs too (only eBay jobs) but will stop the yellow light at least. I rarely use them to be fair.

Also, ordered some smoke film from eBay. Want to do foglight lenses and clear corner lenses. Only £5 and easily removed.

may I suggest what I've used 'fly eye' rather than smoke?

Too late it's arrived. I've heard of fly eye, forgot about it to be honest.

So, as some of you may have seen on social media (I get about a bit), the new wheels went on on Saturday. She hasn't had a clean, I was too busy driving her and doing other jobs lol

Enough of me, here are the pics :D

Our first issue is with the new splitter. With it fitted she won't get up their ramps (and they can't get a trolley jack under the skirt at the front). I suggested jacking the rear a bit to get one under the front and voila. So she is up and we start...yes, I was very hands-on with this (all they actually did was take one of the old wheels off (pictured), swap all the tyres over and balance the wheels) :-)

One side on, other side jacked up (check those arch gaps!)

Other side done, but in off-road mode...
