Re: Rear seat protection for dog

I bought my Convertible with the express intention of carrying my two Irish Setters in the back.... Although the weather has so far discouraged me from getting round to it, I'm going to fabricate a wooden shelf covered in carpeting to replace the cushion and drape covers over the front seat backs a...

Re: Puddle lamp issues

It seems it's usually only the drivers side lamp that has the problem - both of yours are going? Had mine replaced a couple of weeks ago, though the dealer took a couple of months to get the part.

Re: Vertically challenged, door mirror issue?

Here we are in 2017 and the problem still exists. I picked up my shiny new GT about a month ago and the passenger side mirror has the same issue. While it is just usable for me, my wife is only 5' and the mirror is practically useless for her. Have to agree - I'm 6' 3" and the coverage of the ...

Re: Alternative lower grilles for S550

Arch liner retainer pins - ebay - £2.09 FOR 10 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122023180953?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT These fit OK; have a central screw which you just screw until flush. Rad cover pins seem OK to use over and over with a little care. Thanks for that l...

Re: Alternative lower grilles for S550

Since it's a little warmer outside these days I was thinking of finally getting round to swapping the grilles. Since to get bumper off you need to remove the radiator cover and the wheelarch liner plastic push pins I though it might be prudent to have a spare set to hand just in case they got knacke...

Re: What have you done with your Mustang today?

Took the car to my local garage to have the puddle lamp changed and the sun visor hinge bracket fixed. Now have my prancing pony both sides instead of this.... http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d57/antijam/1-P1280323_zpsd6382lta.jpg ...on the passengers side and this.... http://i33.photobucket.com/a...

Re: Heated seats

Well, got my drivers side 'puddle pony' back today and while there I did ask the garage techs about the poor heated seats. They were pretty noncommittal, but the garage is not actually a Mustang dealership; in fact they don't deal in new fords at all anymore; it's just a service, repair and used car...

Heated seats

I'm not a great fan of heated seats (it's a bit like sitting on a loo seat that someone else has just used) but SWMBO loves them. In my car they take ages to warm up - literally about 5 mins before you start to detect anything, and even then they never get really warm. Does anyone else find the same...

Re: Alternative lower grilles for S550

Thanks for the link and the info guys. For some reason the previous owner of my car fitted what looks like an Ecoboost upper grille .... http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d57/antijam/1-P1280319_zpsw98pafgk.jpg ...in place of the original GT type :? I'd already decided to fit the correct upper grille...

Re: Alternative lower grilles for S550

Does anyone know why Ford fitted a different lower front grille for the UK GT cars rather than the standard US spec item? Would there be a downside (cooling problem maybe?) to fitting the US type lower grille which, since it continues the 'Power bars' in the upper grille, looks a lot better (to me a...

Re: The Grand Tour Episode 6

It comes across as if the old Top Gear has had a load of money thrown at it (£200 Million apparently), been given the gloss of american production values and then dumbed down to avoid the widest possible demographic having to strain a brain cell. It's not as if TG was ever exactly highbrow, but with...
