Re: Who is running a Mustang as an only car

Himleiwolf, How do you generally drive the GT? Most of the time I love the acceleration in the ecoboost so really take advantage of open road and for that, I rarely hit above 30mpg unless I am on a long run. I can imaging I'll be the same in the GT. Going to work in traffic I get 23-25mpg coming ho...

Re: Who is running a Mustang as an only car

I have a GT as a daily drive. It's quite practical really but if you spend most of the time on town/village roads at rush hour then be prepared to average 18 or so mpg but dual carriageways and motorways or on empty roads then you'll get nearer 30. Decent boot (or should I say trunk) space means vis...

Mods and insurance

Hi guys,

Quick question, when fitting mods to your car, do you need to inform your insurance company. I kind of presume that anything performance enhancing needs to be declared but what about exhausts, springs and cosmetic stuff?

Re: Tyres/Alloys

I recently had a session on a skid pan and spoke to the instructors on the subject of winter tyres. Normal tyres start to loose effectiveness at around 7 degrees as the compound that they are manufactured from starts to loose some of their "stickiness" at low temperatures. Not only do wint...

Re: Tyres/Alloys

Hi, I test drove a mustang a little while back and the traction didn't impress me one bit, I got feedback at the time and it was mainly due to the stock tyres. I know I can upgrade to the Michelin pilots but really want to go up a size as well, this would meaning changing the alloys, can anyone rec...

Re: Ceramic Coating

Mustang is now booked on MV Tamesis leaving Baltimore on or around 24th January so time to start thinking about getting it sorted when it eventually arrives. Does anyone have a recommendation in the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire area for a competent outfit to paint correct and then ap...

Re: Rear end slip on roundabouts

I'm old, so take it easy in mine, but pulling away along a dual carriageway the other day and reached National Speed limit signs, gently fed in the power in third and SPIIIIN went the back wheels. Squeaky bum moment as the back stepped out slightly - at 60mph. Only thing I can say is the bac...

Window Tints

Can anybody recommend anywhere for tinting of rear quarter and rear windows in the West Midlands? I'm told its not the easiest of cars to do due to the position of the rear screen

Re: Another one arrives!

Hiya, may I ask why further undersealing is required? Surely what is done at Zebrugge should be good enough? They only give it a quick spray when they come of the boat and thats mainly on the exhaust and so it's best to get it done separately. You could try asking your dealership but as far as i'm ...
