Re: Change Oil Soon Warning!

Thanks. Took a bit of finding in the menus but now reset - it said there was only 5% oil life left!

Change Oil Soon Warning!

This warning popped up on my dash this morning. Car registered 1st April this year and has only done just over 4k miles! However, this is exactly 11 months to the day that it was built and I strongly suspect it is a warning of the 12 month service which was not reset by the dealer back in April. Any...

Re: michelins vs pirelli

You don't hear much about continentals on here much. Nice to know there is an alternative to michelins though Tyres from Bridgestone and Continental are both very good alternatives. Michelin tyres are IMHO just a cut above - provide exceptional grip with better comfort and less noise. I have never ...

Re: Important!! Oil cooler leak issue on RHD 5.0 Mustangs

The Ford tech note refers to cars built before 26th July 2016 - what changes, if any, occurred after this date?

Re: Mustang 2016 Sync3 and getting it to work optimally

Despite the dreadful instructions the functionality is very good but the display when listening to radio is dreary! Is there any way of loading one's own designed wall paper xxxx splash screen? I've no idea, but I created an image for cati for his screen and I've seen it on there. I'm seeing him to...

Re: Auto gearbox on GT

I haven't really 'wrung its neck' yet! Why? :? Because: a) I have too much mechanical sympathy to do so before it's properly run in. b) It doesn't have that many miles on it so it's still in the 'ramp up' phase following the first 1k miles. c) My Z4 35is (just recently departed) satisfied my 'need ...

Re: Auto gearbox on GT

It is definitely learning and learning well! I can only assume that, at first during running in, with light use of the throttle it would change up early keeping the revs low which meant a lot of gear changes in quick succession. As it also didn't detect any 'urgency' in the driving style those chang...

Re: Auto gearbox on GT

The 'auto' Mustang arrived and on first driving I began to think that I had, perhaps, made a mistake. The auto box was very lethargic and not what I expected, changing cogs quite often and slowly. Using the Sport modes etc. speeded things up but it still seemed a bit, well, slow on the uptake. Perha...

Re: New wheels arrived and are scratched gutted

Pristine Wheels at Woburn Sands near Milton Keynes. I used them as they are one of the few refurbishers who could deal with the magnesium wheels on my F355 and have good reviews. Did a great job and are "reassuringly expensive".

Re: Ceramic Coating

A quick update. The vehicle is sooo easy to wash, nothing sticks to it at all and even just giving it a spray over with clean de-ionised water through the power washer gets rid of 90% of the crud - not perfect, but it can be kept pretty clean with just a five minute spraying session. The wheels don'...

Re: Too wide for my garage

Get a wider garage door fitted. If the garage won't take a wider door then getting the 'stang in the garage is the least of your problems - getting out of the thing once in will be the major headache!

Re: V5, checking previous owners

Is it normal to see the V5 before paying? - too damn right it is! Why not ask the dealer how many previous owners on the V5 and make his reply, if an acceptable number, part of 'the deal' i.e. if the number of previous owners are more than he stated then the car is misrepresented and you have the op...

I'm feeling pleased now - mine came with a full tank of fuel. It also came with a set of overmats, are these standard or a freebie?
