Re: LOWERING SPRINGS

There is the added difficulty of the strengthening bars which run under the axle on convertibles (not fitted to coupes) and don't allow the axle to drop down quite low enough to get the original springs out. No real difficulty involved, but it will take you longer. Oh, and yes, it will look the Mutt...

Re: What's the clunk, the ultimate question....

Seeing everything that you have checked/replaced I would seriously start suspecting the shocks.
We've seen this kind of noise coming from shocks with far less than 5000 miles on them. Would be worth a substitution if you can get them off without damaging them.

Re: Who is going to Mallory?

Yeah, hats would be a great idea.

I spent a while talking to some Welsh bloke who droned on about a Corvette he used to own.
No idea who he was, but he did have traces of 3M double-sided tape on his fingers :D

Mallory Park Pics

A few of our pics from Mallory at the weekend. It was nice to put a few more faces to names, so 'Thanks' if you took the time to talk, 'Sorry' if we missed you, and 'You're Welcome' if we managed to help you out with parts & tools. More pics on our pages of S197 photobucket. http://i230.photobuc...

Re: Where to service Mustang?

We're probably a bit far away from you (Petersfield area off the A3) but if you fancy a run out to the countryside we can service your car and give it a full diagnostic check, and usually while-you-wait (there's a very good pub and cafe within a mile!).

Re: Bump Stops

If you cut through the centre 'groove' on the rear stops (cut the top half off), there's still plenty before the wheels will make contact even with 20" wheels.

The 'modified' Eibach bump-stops supplied in the full kit are more-or-less this height.

Re: Brake Pads

We've had really good results by upgrading the pads to Carbon-Ceramic front and Carbon-Metallic rear. Cold performance doesn't seem to be compromised at all and don't seem to fade even when hot and used hard. The feedback we've had from customers has also been excellent. So, I'd recommend changing t...

Re: Superchargers..again..Sorry

Having done a few different types of supercharger conversion, I reckon that the Paxton kit is, without doubt, the best on the market. It is extremely comprehensive, and gives you all of the necessary parts (fuel pump, injectors, Diablo tuner) that some kits don't supply. The fitting manual is (large...

Re: Brakes sorted at last

Thanks for the feedback Lee. Aside from the fact that the bigger discs look so much better in those huge wheels, it's nice to know that our 'in-house' designed and fabricated kit does what we said it would do!!! As the discs are larger, the 'standard' Super-Snake brake cooling works better too as it...
